I've used them in NA engines. Very good gasket!

In NA engines its all about having good head bolts/nuts and the right torque setting, i guess that goes for all engines though.

No experiance other than that, particularly with FI, sorry.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

I think the AF 460 or whatever number it is, is identical to the BK450, exceept the BK 450 has additional copper rings around the front coolant passages.

AF460 - http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=37368

BK450 - http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=37447

Entirely different

I did consider the AF460 for the 1400 what with a bigger volume and what looked like a little larger fire ring???? though i've never seen it in person

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

There defo a couple of variations of gasket, back when I ran my car...

The factory Rover turbo one ended up identical to the BK 450

The early versions where the same, albeit a different colour ( light ) and didnt have sealing rings around the front water ways.

While on the subject of gaskets....

I was having a little search and found this.
http://www.ferriday.co.uk/copper/copper.html

They offer some sort of sealing ring system, and also say they do them for the A-series..

Anyone heard of them or used their system ??

I think John Kimmins is using a ferriday gasket on his K1100 conversion. Correct me if I am wrong John:)

Yep, he does.

I posted that a while back when deciding gasket choice for the 1400.

You need a perfectly flat block and head, and then whether you also aid sealing of the water and oil passages with weld seal or not is up to you. Could always 'o' ring the passages.

Copper is deffo a good option, as you can get one offs made and its re useble.

Anyone know how much the feriday gaskets are?
