I am not sure what kind of engine i have. The guy who sold it to me said it is a 1071cc cooper S engine. It has twin 1.25 inch carbs.

I have a 998cc block and head it looks identical to the 1071??

engine number is a good starting point, also does it have a metal plate on the rear saying 1100 or 1000 or something?
