What would be the benefit of fitting this:

Surely it's better to fit the dump valve near the plenum?

I noticed that on Sierra Cosworths they're fitted on the intercooler itself. Pros and cons?

there are a few ways of looking at this. some like it as near to the turbo as possible and others as near as the carb as possible.

But i've always found that dump valves make MORE lag than with out one, and as we run such small blowers it's not needed as a turbo life extender.

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I think its for std set ups anyway, i.e no i/c so it will be right next to the plenum...
