I have a couple of questions regarding the 120thou decompression plates that are available?

1/ do they need a head gasket (or even 2?)?
2/ can they be skimed to create the correct compression ratio?
3/ are they a bodge, and shoiuld they be avoided?
4/ anything else to remember?

The reason i ask is i quite fancy Vmax's SC setup but i'm currently running 11:1 compression so obviosly need to lower this a little... pistons are already on the shoping list so that bits ok. I really dont wanna fork out for another head tbo

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Near Daventry, midlands

avoid it at all costs, the vmax kit, although very easy to fit, is pretty expensive aswell (i would get it myself, but its too much)

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie
