Hi, I have for sale a few bits...........

-A standard turbo lump I got off ebay about a year ago. The dude I got it off said it has just been re-built but I cant prove this. The oil in it looks brand new though. Comes with regulator and pump. The turbo has some small chips on the compressor wheel, but I have another turbo to swap with it which has been die-ground to flow more air if you want. There is an engine on e-bay at the mo with over a day left which is on £430 so closest offer arround £500 its yours.

-A Vmax race head fitted and used for about 5 minuits because the gasket went as I reused an ould one........... Anyway it has 3 angle off-set valves, big ports, I cant remember, but I think the chaimbers are 29cc and valves 32x somthing, will look in the garrage to find out if any intrest. looking for around £200-£300, whoever pays most......

I had the head kickling around for a year or so, so I cant really ask for a refund now. Jimster, Im not really that botherd about the head, its when I took it of 2 months after it blew to find out there was about 1 or 2" of water in cylinder #1. The bores gone rusty now so now I need to rebore and buy new pistons, or get a new block, which will need line boring again. SHIT! lol I have now learnt the hard way. Next time I blow a head or gasket, Ill remove it right away.

Cheers, Kev

I was hopeing that tom but it is quite badly pitted. If I get it bored to maybe 1310 or 1330 can I still use the gasket that requres the block machining?

I think that the group a gasket is OK up to +40, worth double checking with somewhere who supplies the gaskets though, Avonbar/MED etc.

Yeah Tom's right. Just checked my notes, apparently +.40 is the max overbore that can/should be used with this gasket. *smiley*

Thankx guys. I think I'll get the block re-bored then and get some bigger pistons. The pistons in there at the mo are onlt about 4-5cc with a large chaimber head, so I might go the other route and get some 18cc bucket pistons and have less taken out the head, might make it more reliable I hope. Anyone tryed the avonbar pistons?

Might a different cam and get a bigger turbo too ready for next avon, and maybe double gray because single started slipping a bit.

Cheers, Kev
