What are peoples opinions about running with 2 Head Gaskets instead of one. I know some guys with Escorts who are doing it. Wondered if anyone had tried on a mini? 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

2 head gaskets= bad idea imho. if you wanna lower comp ratio have a word with benross about digging out your head chambers and do it properly!:) no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Get someone with a milling machine to mill your chambers out circular. It works, failing that, get a decompression plate and use 2 gaskets, 2 gaskets next to each other are a bad idea. Snag is with plates, you need longer pushrods which is a new snag. How about getting a 1275E engine with factory low compression. If you're on a budget? Bugger off, I'm getting there. |
