Hi,
Just hoping to get a wee bit of advice, it's not turbo related but i know a lot of people really know there stuff with megajolt so thought it would be the best place to ask.

Anyways, i'm just about to order up my megajolt kit and i'm not sure whether i'll need a tps or get away with using a map sensor.

I'm using a 286 type cam and twin hs4's, i've read that this might cause poor low speed running when using a map sensor, does anyone know if this is true?

I'd prefer to use the map sensor if possible.

Thanks
Calum

from what ive gathered, if the manifold had a link pipe between the inlet runners (like most/all twin su manifolds) a map sensor should be fine (if not preferable over a tps).

the problems start when you use a manifold without a link pipe (like the weber ones)

we had antons running ok with a weber, all we did was put a nipple on each runner then connected a vacuum hose to each T'd them together and off to the map sensor.

His seems to run ok now aswell on a single 44 with a 300deg scatter cam.

if it did cause a problem, i've heard of people putting something like one of those cheap plasic fuel filters in the MAP pipe to act as a damper/accumulator.

good stuff, i thought i had to weld a bridge between the 2 branches. thats one less headache anyway.

sounds good, i was kinda dreading having to make up a tps for it.

It's got a link pipe in the manifold with an unused servo take off so a map connection should be easy.

I'll need to remember the fuel filter tip.

Thanks
