Hello, i changed my backplate assembly today to find that my new superfins or the original drum wont fit back on very well over the new shoes even with the handbrake cable disconnected and the adjuster wound all the way out, any ideas? cheers

Are the shoes seated properly? (stupid and obvious thing to ask sorry)

yeah i think so, i know they move up and down a little in the slots, i undid the bleed nipple and made sure the pistons were fully in, i will have a look and compare some non gen shoes, maybe they're not quite fully round?

I'm having the same problem at the moment.

New drums and mintex shoes, Adjuster on loosest setting and new cylinders with no fluid in yet.

And suggestions?

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Malta (Ex. Scotland)

Maybe somethings the wrong size.
Are the shoes fully pushed back and seated in the grooves in the cylinder?
Are those little bits of metal that sit on the adjuster the right way round? The end that seats on the adjuster is cut at an angle and the pointy bit needs to be the farthest away from the backplate.
And are the springs in their correct hole?

Sorry for the crap explanation.Hope that helps.
