Does anyone know of a company supplying the head heater take off like this: http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=33696, But insead of going directly up like standard i'm after one that has a 90deg bend in it?

ive seen them on cars at shows but never found one for sale..

I know only the MK3 minis here that came out with heaters all that i have seen have 90 degree heater take off's that then go into the cable operated control box. The contol box can be unsrewed and you can put a hose straight on.
You could try to search for one of them.

1975 MkIII Morris Mini 1300 Turbo, 100bhp...if only it could run long enough to drive it legally!
