not a lot of help, but i know mine was a absolute arse when i trial fitted it!!!! only way i could do it was to assemble everything with one or two threads, then gradually tighten everything up......

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

take your time and be patient! *wink*

think about it *surprised*

the rear section on the vertical legs which go in the rear side pockets, you may wish to use a large ratchet strap to pull them togeather just enough to snake them in position

hope this helps you

cheers for the advice guys, in the end the approach of 1 single can of magners cider yummmmmyyyy!!! haha! and the front cage went in fine and dandy! no hassle today! drilled & bolted in but i have to make some load-spreader plates up! went for a lil test drive round the block & i cant believe how much stiffer the shell feels, i'll get some pics up at the weekend!

i came up with an idea for doorcards that are lighter than carbon too! gravitex stinechip paint PAINT! *surprised*P looks like the car has doorcards until you get in haha!

if anyone has the dimenions of the load spreading plates would you post them, also what thickness plate should i use to make them, thanks immensly guys,

one poo thing about my 2 days on my car though! my driveshaft gearbox seals (nxt too the pot-joints) are peeing oil out & a top ball-joint on the passenger side has gone all clickety click! arrh well! more fun at the weekend *surprised*)

my SD cage came with spreader plates, at a guess id say they were around 4mm thick.

oh, and another thing (thought id wait till you had the cage in :) ) did you chip away the sound proofing tar shit off the floor where the cage legs locate? and also rip off the plasticy covering off the top of the rear wheel archs?

yeah, i've removed all the tar style soundproofing throughout the car, rear bins and seat pan are also gone to the bin! i have to make some load spreading plates yp for my SD cage as i bought it 2nd hand, i was going to make the plates that go on the outside out of stainless steel, the inner plates that i'll weld to the arches & floor will be mild steel, need to practice my welding, its been a long while arrrrhhhh!

prob best starting a new thread, otherwise its gonna get ultra confusing, and ruin the last thread for reference purposes.

the best thing to do is weld plates in, but then youll need to prep and paint the areas.
you can rivet alloy plate in the corners, seen that alot of times.

to get the bonnet hinges off, its fiddly, but just unbolt them (need to get under the dash).

as for the cable stays, just inscrew them...?
