whoops!!! 36mph in a 30! was a long open wide road tho with noone about! well, apart from a hidden copper!

So it is total BS that the old black-and-silver number plates offer some immunity from the cameras....

hold on, i thought the acceptable excess speed you can drive was 10%of the limit + 3mph, to accomodate for uncalibrated cameras, and speedo inaccuracies.

Yes 10% of 30 is 33 and that was exceeded by 3 so fair enough. Still a bit tight if you ask me though. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

its limit +10% +a variable amount depending on the guidelines for that region. Indeed some areas do add 3mph extra, some dont. I've seen the future and tbh its Pie
