Seems my diff pins are clonking and looks like the box (which I was going to use on my SC engine) is going to need a new diff. The car gets driven hard and I've noticed that going around very tight corners I'm spinning a wheel up which is probably why the pins have worn. I have no problems with a big steering wheel and brute force, but I have to keep my cornering. Bearing in mind the car is running 5" minilites with 032R's.
Bugger off, I'm getting there. |

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |

So a good idea then. The Trannex looks like the deal.
Bugger off, I'm getting there. |

I wouldnt bother with Quaiffe as it doesnt lock the wheels, you still lose 'go' if one wheel is off the ground. This isn't quite true. The original design of the ATB meat that it only worked with both wheels one the ground generating torque across the diff, with one wheel in the air there was no torque across the diff and tghe free wheel spun. Modern ATBs have a certain amount of pre-torque built in so you will always have some drive with a wheel in the air. I have a TranX and its fantastic, but I wouldn't like to use it on the road (I do have the race one though, the road and rally ones might be less severe). If I was in the market for a road diff, I'd give the quaiff a go. Wil Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |

Yeah i run the road spec one and it's fine, my mate {Mike} runs the full race item on the road. This is "vicious" to say the least.

I'd also use quaife for road, but keep with what I have for the track. On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:
