Oops i think ive made a school boy error

i popped some filler on my car last night, mixing it up and popping in what i thought was enough hardener

anyway i came back to it this eve and it still wasnt hard, reasonably hard, but i could still press my nail into it with some force

Will this dry up given a bit of time, and a little bit of heat, or shall i just scrape it off and start again????

groan

No heat or time will help, it is a chemical reaction that makes it "go off".

Scrape it off and start again, don't be so mean with the hardener next time!

I usually mix it up too "strong" and it goes off very quickly.

golf ball amount of filler to a pea sized amount of hardner is a good rough guide bud,

evo stick chemical metal is good but overkill but on t5he flipside it can be drilled & tapped *surprised*P haha!

hard as hell to sand though, hope ya get it sorted nic

Lowestoft, Suffolk.

A subtance called pilliput is also very usefull, its a two part apoxy bassed medium, (just two putties you mix together) can be used as a filler, can also be drilled and tapped, and very workable.

so did i! a winter spruce up and weight saving has unearthed many a hole

i think ive probably put 10kgs back in the car with the amount of rust that had appeared, it was all hiding behind the seam sealer in the car, probably from where the car would sit in the garage all week, but was damp from me cleaning it

ill have some pics to pop up soon, i just want to get into it a bit more

curse your editing benross!!!

ill go out and start again with it, after i have finished resolving something i dont understand into their partial fraction forms
