hi im new to the site

i was just wondering what rpm 998 turbos get on boost, i am currently considering my options as i have a 1.3 turbo engine however quite fancy the idea of a 998 and am planning to just bolt the unit on. will this be reliable if i am sensible and what would the result of 10 psi and in intercooler be, an explosion or rapid 998!

Well our 998 turbo with a stck metro turbo T3 got to max boost (about 18psi) at about 4k. This is not a bolt on job though. You need to concider lots of things not least compression ratio and pistons.

Have a read around the site there is pelnty of info on 998 turbos, although not many running.

ive just looked at the website for your car, you didn't suffer two head gasket faliures at gursten on the 26/27th did you or at least not run in the afternoon on one day. i'm sure i came up and asked about the spec and was damn impressed that you were posting the same times as the N/A 1380's.

Yes that was us. The head gasket failures have been solved now and are not normally a problem. It was a combination of a blocked rad and a recessed brass incert.
