If you can get the compression down given their smaller dish I would use them, they certainly look sturdy.

I would imagine that they are comparable to 21253's. Do they have oil slots or holes chris?

Just checked the pistons and they have four holes either side of the gudgeon pin. Rings seam to be a bit hard to find though, what are peoples thoughts on reusing rings, the rings are only 5000 miles old.

I wouldn't.

Try totalseal. You could send off a set for measuring up.

I have 20832 pistons and need rings, do the R21576V1 fit?

What I have found is that on some applications the same ring is used across multiple pistons, for example you may find that the compression and scraper rings are exactly the same on a +20 and +40 piston
knowing that you can measure every piston ring set you can find and find the ring part number that exactly fits your application.

I had to do this for a set of Rover +20 pistons I had. the oil ring was the hardest to match but between Minispares front counter and a very nice set of vernier micromeres we matched a full set of rings. So don't just go by the part number dimensionally match the parts

The oil rings in the hastings set I had received are spot on.
Top ring ok too.
Would it be fine to find a middle ring, which is a.stepped scraper type and as long as it matches the original size to use that?
I've been advised not.to mix and match rings from different sets

well I had to match rings from different sets to fit the ring grooves if they match they match. if the profiles match they match.
