Hello you lot !

Ok , so a standard set up should have around 90-94 horses I am lead to beleive ...

By adding an Intercooler , what is the likely increase in power ?

I mean are the AS GOOD as people say ?

I know they must be as the cooler we can get that air the better , basic stuff that we all know

but in the real world , what sort of difference will the intercooler make without the other good things that can be done like
lower compression and more boost
ported head
bigger valves
roller rockers
etc etc etc

AS I understand it, if you just slap a ic on, you wont get anymore hp, not unless you modify your needle to suit !
Stick it on a rolling road and mod the needle and you'll get a bit more, deending upon how goo it is. I could imagine 15%.

Bu then again I could imagine minimarks avitar getting into bed iwth me too *wink* *happy* *blush*

Not very sunny swanage

also an intercooler allows you to run higher boost without detonation and thus without meltdown!

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

Ever driven your car on a chilly evening after a warm day?..did you notice the performance being a little "chirpier"..An IC will give you some extra free performance but also you to safely turn up the boost, say to 10 psi without any danger..Still would advise a RR tune to optimise everything.

PaulM is correct in saying about the needle, rolling road it don't guess it.
