I personally don't think you would find a noticable difference, as the subframe is fairly stiff already.

IMO it is not "NEEDED" on any car, but it is one of those little easy to do modifications that all add up to the greater goal when a car is finished.

Dan Ludlow has a brace bar accross the back of his metro where the hydrogas units are(approx same place as the rear donuts on a mini)

Sure it flex enough, looking at the design, conisdering we use sticky tyres etc. |

Once you have cut the bulkhead to let in the turbo box you have lost most of the stiffness from the body, but the stiffness between the towers of the subframe is pretty good so I don't think a brace will make much difference. |
