Has anyone any experience of running, say twin R5/rs intercoolers.

I'm just tthinking it may be a cheap, short term emthod of getting more cooling. Parrallel or in series, what do you guys think?

Alright Paul, interesting idea on the intercooler, you'd have to be careful that you capacity didn't go up too much as you will increase your lag a fair bit. Depends on the size of your turbo i guess.

Talking from experience on this but in the other extreme. My mate had a 2.1ZVH built for his fiesta rst and a stage 5 turbo and alloy intercooler all specced up from the same chap, sounds good you think? 300bhp easy you'd think?

Turns out the intercooler was too small, and couldn't cool all the air the large turbo was pushing through, so he had to limit his boost to 15psi, bit of shame when his engine and turbo could take 28psi! Which meant only getting 220bhp before intercooler temps rose and pinking began.

There is probably some clever people on here that could tell you what size intercooler you need for your spec.

Cheers

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

And that he spent a fair few pennies having it done!

Im going to be tempted with a custom one to keep everything neat.

Betwix Harrogate and York

Put them in parallel, that way the pressuer drop will be kept to a minimum.

I don't know how big a cooler is right. I use one off a 3.1 TD Isuzu Trooper. It's bigger than a Escort RS one but probably not quite twice the size.

Seems to work ok.
