The MG finally left the workshop today after almost a years worth of welding, grinding, painting and anything else you can do to a car. It's more or less finished now, although I'm planning to experiment with the suspension a bit over the winter and possibly rebuild the engine in a year or so

However my next job is to sort out the turbo lump for the Mini :)

Glade you like it, I agree that it sits too high, and I will be lowering it over the winter when I fiddle with the suspension.

Here's a few more shots:

The last picture is a normally aspirated A Series engine for those who have forgotten what they look like.

Lost the back end today, only 10 miles after finishing the rebuild, took serious opposite lock to get it back in line but by shear luck I saved it. I've think I've got too used to the Mini and chucking it round the back country lanes.

Spridget, I've not really looked at the frontline site much, however I've a feeling I'll be getting a few bits from Peter May over the winter.

John, I tend to watch a couple of races a years as a chap I know has a class A Midget, which he's just got back on the track earlier this year after a massive off in 2004.

You should see it now the back end has dropped a good three inches plus, going to need to fit some new springs over the winter.

I reckon I keep the right car, took the Midget out for a little spin this evening and could stop smiling.

Been lowered a bit, I now have to jack the car up if I want to get to the slave cylinder.

Nah, I think wire wheels look a little too cluttered besides for some strange reason I like the original steel wheels, I think they suit the car and you don't see too many Midgets with them fitted these days.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
