Stuck a new battery in to the car last night and after some fine adjustments and a slackening of the tappets.........she kicked into life. Fecking amasing sound......and when the dump goes off....ahhhhh just amasing. This is the first turbo engine I have ever heard running.

However, problems.......she keeps flooding the 4th chamber. Floods 3rd chamber too but nowhere near as bad. Could this be associated with the fuel regulator? Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Paul.

Nope Iain have not set the fuel pressure yet ( I just assumed it would be ok as it was removed from a running car)......how do you do this? do you need some sort of gauge?

Dizzy works 100%.....spark is excellent at the plugs. Much much better than the old points system.

I got mine off the net, was about a tenner i think. Does the job spot on.

Basically just plumb in with T piece supplied and job done.

Make sure the choke isnt sticking or catching on the heatshield aswell.

flooding with fuel i assume *tongue*

only reason i say is that on jsut about every a-series iv had the head off, cylinders 3 and 4 have oil in them, always more so than cylinders 1 and 2.

these are all old road engines btw.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
