im building a 1380 and have a turbo off a 1.7tdi corsa in my garage its about the same size as a T2 and wondered if it would fit if i got a manifold made for it? cheers

well if you make your own manifold i dont see why not.
if its off a diesle i would find out if there any good as iv heard that they dont like high RPM.
could be compleat rubbish though!!

Anything can be made to fit given skill, engineering and patience.

However making a manifold for a turbo is not something to be undertaken lightly, I would suggest that a Metro turbo manifold and then a T3, for which a commercially available downpipe etc is available, is a far easier solution.

yeh i too also got told it wont be good for high end revs but dont know if this is true?.

just want some info on it really to how hard it would be to fit and if it would be worth it?

hunt for a T3 off a metro turbo inc.. manifold

and start from there

your small ihi will not have suffisant flow for your 1380, depend the boost I would go for a t2/t25 under 15 psi, and gt20 for over

me and t3tone use a metty t3 with a .36 exh AR they work bloody well.

as fab says i think your ex turbine will be to small mate ive seen those turbos and they are only assisting turbos a bit like the old escort td ones they come in early but soon run out of puff.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

ahh ok cheers for all the info people will be looking into the T3 and also superchargers still as im unsure as which i want to go with yet

T2 should be a good one if you want the power lower down the rev range.
thats what imgoing to use anyway.
