Just a thought, Could you fit a plenum chamber after the butterfly choke, on a turbo engine ?? *tired*

9 valves, 4 wheel drive, 3 cylinders, 1 turbo, which got nicked

Just a thought re my three cylinder, it has a water 'cooled' inlet manifold , so is a little trick to mod

9 valves, 4 wheel drive, 3 cylinders, 1 turbo, which got nicked

the water pipes to the inlet manifold would not be there to "cool" the intake but to actually heat it up when the car is cold :)

Thats why 'cooled' is in inverted comma's, as during winter it will heat, during summer it keep it stable !

EFI turbo engines get best results from having a 'plenum' style inlet manifold. Just do a search for piccies of the YBB / YBD engines used in the sierra cosworths. These had a large volume plenum that was (at a guess) 3 litres in volume. Corky Bell states that the optimum is 1.7 times engine capacity.

So, yes. Cut and shut your manifold.
btw check out http://www.themininut.com and follow the links to his 'plenum fabrication' section. This is the right way to go about it...
