I like nice quiet girly Minis

Hi all,

I am new to this forum but not to turbo'd A series lumps having been running them since the mid 90s.

I am currently trying to get my other half to commit to the spec of car she actually wants before I get the spanners out but it is likely to be something similar to

T2 with intercooler running around 10psi
1275 or 1293 (still to measure the bores to see if it needs a tickle)
Mild cam
Std box
aiming for 110 to 125 BHP for every day road use.

She has owned the car for about 4 years and in all that time never driven it ........ then she was the one wanting the house fully renovating / restoring!!!

I am hoping to pull my old 1293 lump out of the rust bucket (new Rover shell in 95!) and do something a little custom with the body work.

Once that is done I will aim to drop in a K 16V headed A running around 200BHP (any help with suggested spec appreciated) for track day fun and upsetting chavs in Saxos...

I am a professional engineer currently working on development of cutting edge diesel fuel injection systems and have a reasonably well appointed workshop ....... anybody got a plasma cutter they don't want to finsh the set off????
With about 20 years worth of machining and fabrication experience and a similar amount on Minis thanks to my fathers '65 Cooper S I hope to be able to help as many people as I hope will help me.

The only guy I know oon here is Rob (British Open Classic) as we are both members of the same owners club and we have discussed a length turbo instalations ..... if he ever gets his running I might get my NA 1275 motor back .....
