Im looking to make the rear quarter windows out of polycarbonate sheet. I think they have to be 4mm for motorsport but i can get some 3mm stuff real cheap. Do you think this would be sufficient for a road car?

Cheers for any help, AL.

Shropshire.

Hi, i think mine are 3mm, and road legal etc, they are a massive weight saving. I went for a full set and im well happy i also love the subtle bronze tint you can get.

Cool. I was just this second looking through your pictures thinking yours might be poly. Was gonna do them in that bronze stuff you can get, think it looks great. Nice car btw.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

think most "race" spec ones are 4mm. think it may be in the regs.

The boring bloke who runs this place.

Berkshire

I've got some spare old perspex ones in my garage if you want them, home made, but would do the job

Have to be 4mm for race use but 3mm is adiquate.

Agreed that they are well worth it, but dont bother with perspex. It'l crack
