Yo

Got my new shell, but it needs shocks before I can put it on wheels to roll it into my garage - so it'll be getting all wet until then.

so, do any of you lot have an old set of shocks I can have/buy cheap as a temp measure until I can buy some decent ones?

Cheers
al.

Not very sunny swanage

suspension cones and trupets, or failing that, a peice of something wedged in the gap where the suspension should sit will allow you to roll it around.

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

At the rear end - you need to get a piece of steel tube that slides nicely over the 3/8" stud where the shock-pin is and hangs out around 1-2", this will rest on the underside of the subframe and prevent the wheel going into the arch without any springs or trumpets in there aswell....

Dont worry about it Neil - I'm nicking all the stuff off the frog anyway, so i just wanted to bodge it to move it into the garage. Perhaps one of those rigs with wheels that you put unpainted bodys on would be better?

I've got a set of hi-los in the garage ready for the new shell.

I'll speak to my mate with a VW garage tomorrow, see if he has anything I could use.

Go round the back of kwik-save and see if there are any bread-trolley bases lying around.

I understand they work REALLY well *wink*

I have got a pair of complete radius arms, and a pair of standard rear trumpets. Also a set of standard bottom arms/tie bars.

Let me know if you want to borrow any of it?
