I cant find it! Where the hell is it!

I could hear it under the rear wheel arch when i had the car running, its a late G reg car.

Is it going to be ok to use this fuel pump in my mini?

Thing is, dropping another 1.3 in on sunnday after i fit a new gearbox to it, to get the metro on the road, but going to use the mechanical fuel pump to keep everything simpler.

When i find the fuel pump, can i join the two hoses that went to it to make it continueess hose, and straight to the mechanical fuel pump on the replacement engine?

Ah! Look where the indent is for the spare wheel, towards the front of the car from that, there is a beam accross part of the chassis. ON TOP of that is a small beam, but if you get spanners (13mm) from the back you can lever them to undo the two bolts, i took off the mounting bracket AND the pump in one, so i have the rubber mounts already on to mount straight to the minisubframe (which i have already done, on the bottom beam on top, next to the hilo-suspension.)

My next question is, i have blocked off the fuel pipe from the tank, what can i use to join it to the pipe that goes to the engine on the metro? Its going to have a mechanical pump on the new engine, i need some tubing or something plastic, i dont have a clue what people use, i have some small fuel line clamps from the motor shop.
