i bought some fibreglass doors off ebay. im well happy with them. but how can i tell if there fibreglass or carbon fibre. the reason im asking is theve got square type weave material on the skin area and there black on the inside. where as my fibreglass front is the usual fibrglass pattern.:) either way it doesnt matter really no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

it sounds carbon to me, usually fibreglass has a random direction, glass bits finish inside it, and its white, or a gel colour |

you will undoubtably have glass doors , as most moulders will use woven matt on relatively flat surfaces , but some are sharp twats who still use woven glass matt with black pigment paste to look like its carbon , and then sell them as such for lota more money,

Difficult to tell without a photo, but the difference is obvious. Fibreglass can be weaved just like carbon fibre so that is not the telltale sign. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

I had some but went back to the original ones, i wasnt happy with the window frame section, wasnt the best fit and was very weak, this section of the door can also 'flap about' at high speed.. IMO OK for a track car, but not sure i would want to use them on the road. |
