Current progress.....



Required Turbo Box :)


The other side at the back.... fabrication time,.. :( The new rear crossmember will be going in.

Inner wings just about ready to go in, have to make a repair for the gas pedal.

Inner wings welded in and repairs to floor and gas pedal mount complete.... picture of the wing on.

Holy Post resurrection Batman..... Vans booked in for a respray this month....!!! Pictures to follow tonight....couldn't resist not posting.
I now understand what it means to restore a bodyshell.... work and more work.

Front end welded on short of the inner wings

Both sides welded up with repair sections.



Both sides have had repair sections for the floor. We were going to replace the how rear section of the load deck but the rubbish replace you can buy mean the looves are not defined enough and would look rubbish compare to the front.



Finally the future home of a Benross motor and box..... that I'm picking up tomorrow.



So finally after all these years I think 10 I may have the Van turbo'd by the end of the year and running on the road.

Rusty by nature

This morning I dropped Dexter off for painting.... the feeling of relief is awesome... should be 3 weeks and i'll have a painted mini van for the first time in years.

The van is still the sprayers.

Engine bay all painted...just needs the Engine Benross whipped up for me.


Inside all painted will be mostly carpeted, with a mattress in the back.


Van as I left her friday, roof, wings etc at 500grit stage, with Simon working on the sides.


Drives side this needed alot of work due to the previous owner removing the petrol tank filler.

Thanks guys. Dexter will be Old English white with black arches and roof. Can't wait.

Popped in tonight and here is the progress. Should all be ready for paint by tomorrow. The roof is going to be painted Wednesday and I can't wait.

Current state as of this morning. The Black really does show every ding and dent. Simons spent along time on the roof. Plan is to give it a polish and decide if a lighter colour is required.

Nearly there just polishing. Very pleased with what Simons done with the shell.

Picking Dexter up tomorrow.... whoop....

Thanks Guys. My wifes been very ill this weekend so no more pictures. Dexter is now home whoop whoop.

We must meet up Richard. I've owned the car for 11 years now and the engine 9 so I think if I don;t pull my thumb out I might beat you ;O). Can wait to hear the Tish for the first time.
