I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

A company possibly worth considering for a "hobby" lathe is Chester UK can be found on the .net

A mate has one of theirs and it's great value for money.

I'm looking for a mill with around 500mm of travel (guess what for!?!?!) and am seriously considering a Chester one as an alternative to a second hand Bridgeport etc.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I have used a chester one a bit, and its a good one me thinks! The one I have used is an old unit too, so they hold up okay.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i've got a colchester triumph. cracking bit of kit.

Managed to get it for £100!!

It was bought new by a fire station to turn down stand pipes or something, hardly got used then they had to get rid due to h&s!!!!

We just gave them a donation!!!

3 phase, around 6 foot gap bed so decent capacity.

that looks a nice little lathe, perfect for mini bits.
