basically i front ended my little brothers mini, couldnt afford to buy him a new one and couldnt afford to ge tit fixed, so bought a mig.. Just read a few tutorials on teh net and practiced :)

Good bit of advice tho, practice on good rust free un-painted sheet steel as its easy as fook to weld. then move onto rusty stuff. .. wel by rusty i meen old (cleaned up) car bodywork.

MIG MIG

Cleanleness is the key
make sure there is absolutley nothing on the the work Paint, Grease , OIL are your worst enemy
Use a angle grinder with a wire brush and make that metal shine !!!!!!
Use CO2 and Argon mix .... I find this works vWell as there are less impurities in the gas
Then its all down to output power and wire speed
Now that come with practise !!! Right guys !!!

b12 is right, cleanleness is most important, you cannot weld rust or oil, you can only weld metal.

Good luck
