is that scrape enough to make unusable?

Gone are the days of me patching pistons and putting them back in like I used to do in my teens

I emailed the seller about these piston enquiring as to piston dish size, he states they are 18cc but I thought Omegas only come in 15cc max, unless anyone knows any different?????

Tom I think your right, 15cc max.

Forged pistons are very tough and that ding is more than just a casual drop on the floor. I'd not trust them to be honest.

Also, anybody notice it's the same guy as was trying to get £500 for that NOS (obviously used) Mk1 S head???

I'd personally leave well alone.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

they are already at about 100 , one in scrapped, so headacke to find one (perhaps an other 100) then as being racing used parts you then would want a new set of rings (perhaps an other 100) then you made a bargain of 300 for used parts which cost 400 new(without any offer)
I would be interested to buy this sort of used parts only if I already had a set in my engine to have sapre ones.
cheers
