Just been looking on e bay for turbo bits and came accross this, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...57017&rd=1&rd=1 ,
this was the metro I bought as a donar car back in '04 for my turbo project,
since then its changed hand 4 times, and the chap the owns it lives two roads away, litterally two mins walk,
no real point to this post, was just REALLY amused!

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I blew the blown 1275 hg, on the test drive (actuator boost hose perrished) was up for 500notes, endeded up payin 200 for it (bargain) had the engine out fot my project, then sold it to a mate with a stock 998 in it, but a few months later I fitted a stock MG 1275 for him, thought the car was long gone after he sold her on! Really shocked to see her again, and so close to home!!

Lol, its not that bad, when I had it it just scrapped thru the mot, more advisory's than anything,
last time I saw her, there was that patch on the sill, but both sides, then about to be "repaired" with fibreglass, all around the fuel filler was rotten, Tailgate very scabby, also ther was a fair amount of rust where a sunroof drain had blocked. I know the car had been stored in a garage for 6 months, by the chap I sold it to, untill it was old on, and the last two owners have been in the last 6 months.
I think it would make a good base for a resto', but only for the right money, and considering what I originally paid for her. its not gonna be much more than what bidding is at now.
Its a shame I didnt find it sooner, would have been tempted to walk up the road and have a kick at the tyres for ole time sake!

Already done that, e mailed the guy telling him it was my car a few years back, told him I might be temted to buy it back as I still had the engine etc, asked him how much he was wanting for it, when he said how much, I told him I was reluctant to pay more than I had purchased it for two years ago! I know it was a tad cruel and petty, but I couldnt resist!
