Hi guys, maybe one of you can help me with a little problem.

My laptop basically died last month (some of you may remember the thread, and thanks for your advice/help on that one). Anyway, I sent it back to toshiba, they sorted me out with a new motherboard and bios (?).

But when they sent it back to me they forgot to plug the wirelss antennae back into the board or somesuch. So off it went again.

Anyway shes running ok now, but the 'help and support' program in the start menu didnt work, when you click on it it says "Cannot run Help and Support, please run Help and Support.". Great.

Anyway, I moved all my crap to an external hard disc and ran my recovery disc which has sorted everything as far as I can tell.

Anyway, not sure why ive bored you all with that LOL?
In short, now Ive lost all my internet favorites, can I get these back somehow?

Just type sex / teen / amateur / virgin / webcam / etc into google, and you will probably find them again.

There should be a "Favorites" folder on you C drive somewhere with them all in.

Doesn't sound good, you might want to try a free undelete program from cnet or one of those places...possible that the recovery disc just overwrote the original windows install.

For future reference though, keep a backup of C*happy*ocuments and Settings"YOURLOGINIDHERE". in there, you'll find My Doc's, Favorites, etc... all of which are associated with your profile.

if you just did a recovery then you can undo the recovery and put it back to your previous settings and copy across your internet favourites..............................if you did a complete re-install of windows then sorry to say that your fooked

Windows doesn't remove any data from the computer when you delete a file or restore, it just breaks the link to the file. The undelete programs available look for files with broken links and shows those as available to retrieve.

As minimad stated, if you did a reinstall from recovery, you're fooked.

I have a program from OnTrack, who does data recovery for my company, called EasyRecovery Professional I could send you. Used it many times to undelete a user's Temporary Internet history, to see where they've been *laughing* Dirty little monkeys!
