i need that part there, the part thats held on with 4 bolts. Ive tried to remove the one from the gearbox i have. Its held on though with what looks to be 3 bolts and a rivet. I think the rivet used to be a crosshead screwdriver bolt though!!!

does anyone have the bit i need its the only thing stopping me putting the engine in :) :)

Feebs - get a bolt (1/2" / 13mm head is ideal), hold the threaded end against the offending bolt, and put a few hits of weld on there with the Mig. It is then easy to remove.

You could even put it back in the new case, then grind the 'sacrificial' bolt off.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i welded a nut on to the same effect and it makes it easy. then counterbored the block and fitted a allen head bolt and washer to replace the crappy phillips head csk screw.
