I got 5x10 mamba wheels, and i really like this wheel. But i would like to reduce offset to improve the handling of mini, as my wheel stick a inch out of my mini with standard arch fitted.

I wonder if it ok to grind the hub face part of the rim about 5 to 10 mm off, conisdering the the hub face of that rim is inch thick.

Would that be toooo dangerous in case of wheel fracture or safe to do so?

You can generally take a bit off but no alot. 5mm maybe but 10mm sounds a bit much

Mambas use sleeve bolts yes? if you take too much off then the bolts will bottom out on the hub face.

I hope you are thinking about having this machined professionally and not attacking it with an angle grinder.........

Even so, I wouldnt fancy it

I think that if you contact NASA, they could reduce the length of the sleeve nuts so they don't botom out on the face. If the guy is capable of machining the wheel in a lathe or similar, I think he both understands and is capable of getting the nuts to fit.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Be very careful with this as IIRC the mamba's are very close to the calipers anyway. If you machine much off you will get fouling between the wheel and calipers, V.bad.

This is of course assuming that you have disc brakes ..... if you have got drums and a turbo I am very scared ...... *wink*

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
