just taken off me head to find lots of oily residue in the chambers and behind the valves, engine smoked a bit, the thing is that most people find it a problem with the inlets but i have lots of oil on the back side of the exhausts, litteraly coated, i can wiggle the valve in the guide about 1.5 mill, too much? "Can I legally marry people now that I am ordained in the Church of the SubGenius?" aka i know jack sh"t

Well, it's the valve guides no doubt. If it's an unleaded head the valves are usually not worn on the stems. A+ valves are of fanstastic quality in terms of longetivity. Flow wise they can be improved.

I've been using bronze only in the exhaust lately. The iron ones wear much better with chrome plated stems in my book. This means more miles with cheaper stuff to be honest. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
