Somewhere around Swindon

I am just about to look at a friends car that has snapped rockers, so will see what you egg heads think

Early last year my mate sausage developed a missfire, the cause was a nut that had fallen off one of these cheap halfords airfilteds and had stuck the valve open wedged between the seat and valve

he removed head and nut re lapped the valves and as far as he was concerned job was a goodun

but

since then its broke 3 rockers A+ type and i am wondering if he has a bent valve thats sticking when hot

any help is appriciated as i said we would look at it in my garage over the winter while mines in dry storage, hes at a point where hes going to whack it on ebay hes just had enough so want to stop him selling it lol

Spec: 1310, 286, big valve head, hif 44

It is the same rocker that breaks each time?

It could be that the valve is bent?

Another reason for breaking rockers is the valve springs coil-binding so check this too.
