Well here's some pics of my latest buy! Needs a fair bit of welding to the floors but hoping to get it sorted this weekend! Not hanging about this time.

Got a turbo lump all rebuilt and sat waiting to go in, heads about finished too so watch this space!

A fair bit of welding but not a full restoration....looking forward to seeing the finnish item.

Yeah its not that bad, at the minute its getting patched, done a few holes tonight, cant afford to get all new panels and have the time to fit them, it will be solid and mot-worthy then replace to make mint afterwards.

Unless somebody wants to fit some floor pans on the cheap? Beer tokens waiting

Ahh, those ones!!

It seems to be burning loads of oil though! runs really well apart from that.

Im taking the engine out this weekend all being well, hopefully have it turbo'd inside the month and more welding done!

One good thing, its definately improving my welding skills!

Plan is to have it on the road and running by the end of june, engine will need running in then though!

it was running very rich, sure it is oil?

Pretty sure mate, i will lean it off though and see what happens, its defo blue though and not black, chucks out some cool smoke rings though

The car is from wellingbourgh it sat just around the corner from the collage for 2years i thought it got smashed. do you live local to where you bought it?

Jon as in giallofly who i bought it off lives near wellingborough and thats where he got it from.

Its nearly back on the road, all new cage and bucket seats in, engine might go in this weekend.

Well here are a couple of pics of the latest bits and bobs, cage is in, rear seat and bins gone, new front floor pans, turbo lump is in and just needs hooking up. Long way to go before the finished article but its going in the right direction now.

Few more bits added last night, rebuilt carb and modded plenum with the DV fitted.

iain, you want to shorten the pipe going to the dump valve, you want all pipes on the turbo, (blead valve, dump valve, actuator etc) to be as short as possible mate

Does it make it laggier otherwise or something?

not exactly , but on actuator, and can cause over boosting, and under boosting, so not ideal, also the dump valve will take longer to open and close, so may cause slight lag, nothing noticeable, but every little helps
