If you're removing the heater because you've fitted a turbo bulkhead box and don't want the original sticking out, try using a van heater, i have one in mine and it works a treat. It ain't as sophisticated as the saloon heaters, its got a springy metal flap that decides whether you heat the car or the screen, but its small and does the business of keeping the screen clear |

what about using the original element from the existing heater matrix and making your own housing for it with a couple PC 12V electric fans to circulate the hot air

The biggest problem i have with my car is the lack of ventelation due to blocking off the top vents aswell as the heater vent so make sure you keep those! |

I'm aware of that ... LOL Once built a race car with no vents and fixed poly windows, except the normal sliding vent in the drivers window. Couldn't see a thing in the car after about 5 mins!!!

look on computer forums and shops for water cooling setups, and look at the radiators fans and ducting . could make somethign useable outa them bits! or a PC fan, your old heater core and some flexible ductig from B&Q turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
