Anyone have a set they would be willing to sell to a yank? I have the Turbo motor, a fresh T2, and everything else. I just need some manifolds. 8)

Thanks!

Am I right in assuming that you're on the look out for one going cheap? If so good luck, I've only seen two come up for sale second hand, one was a prototype on ebay which went for nearly as much as a new one, and the other was Feeble's (from when he moved to a T3) which sold pretty much instantly. I'm guessing no one sells them because they are good (Nic's car is putting in some very quick times with a Mirage set up).

Or is in a case that Mirage won't post to the States? If this is the case you can get them to send it to me and I'll happily forward it to you, I'll even wrap it up and write happy birthday.

Rob

PS. I currently waiting to mine to arrive, should be any day now.

:EDIT: It's now arrived and looks great.

Mirage will post to the states, but paying $700 + shipping for a set of maniolds is hard to swallow on this side of the pond...

I'd love to do just that.

But I am building this car in an open lot, about 200 feet from the ocean. I just don't have the ability to do welding here. I've also priced out having one built by the local turbo shop. Their price is MORE than the cost of the Mirage units.

Lucky you! :)

Thanks for the offer to resend a manifold to me. I just figured I'd ask if anyone had one available before placing an order with Mirage. I see no additional value in buying one new if someone happens to have a used one around.

Dave, I think the price works out to be more like $600+shipping since folks in the US get the VAT discounted from the final price. But that is still a lot of money for an extremely simple set of manifolds.

Ah - I thought Mirage sets were 350ukp + VAT? I'm guessing it's 300ukp + VAT then?

I'm in the same boat, I only want the manifold, (not the rest of the junk, I'm doing a GT15) and $700 plus shipping is a lot of money...
I plan to see if I can use the std Manifold as the GT15 is pretty small then if that doesn't work see If I can fabricate something myself and get someone to weld it up for me...wish me luck.

I thought it was 350 inclusive of VAT. The site quotes 'Our price for a set of manifolds is £350 inc postage within the UK'. I could be wrong.

Hi Guys.

Price for the manifolds is as follows.

In the the UK i sell them at £350 inc postage (which costs me £10). There is no vat payable to me as im not vat registered at the moment, may have to be soon.

Selling abroad is £340 plus shipping at cost. I'll ship anywhere. I use a courier for virtually all overseas delivery. Usually DHL or FEDEX. Sent a set to canada a few weeks ago and it was about £40-45 for the shipping, thats a 3-4 day service, but the last set was delivered next day!!!! amazing.

I can take paypal if this helps and i DONT add a fee for this either.

Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it. You will likely see my order in early January.
