Anyone have a set they would be willing to sell to a yank? I have the Turbo motor, a fresh T2, and everything else. I just need some manifolds. 8)

Am I right in assuming that you're on the look out for one going cheap? If so good luck, I've only seen two come up for sale second hand, one was a prototype on ebay which went for nearly as much as a new one, and the other was Feeble's (from when he moved to a T3) which sold pretty much instantly. I'm guessing no one sells them because they are good (Nic's car is putting in some very quick times with a Mirage set up).

Mirage will post to the states, but paying $700 + shipping for a set of maniolds is hard to swallow on this side of the pond... On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

............. 700 for some centimeters of tubes ,a couple of welds. make you own! I'd love to do just that. But I am building this car in an open lot, about 200 feet from the ocean. I just don't have the ability to do welding here. I've also priced out having one built by the local turbo shop. Their price is MORE than the cost of the Mirage units. 61 Austin Seven; building a 1275 'over the clutch' turbo, R5 T2'd, custom intercooled, megajolt electrified, canyon carver

PS. I currently waiting to mine to arrive, should be any day now. Lucky you! :) Thanks for the offer to resend a manifold to me. I just figured I'd ask if anyone had one available before placing an order with Mirage. I see no additional value in buying one new if someone happens to have a used one around. Dave, I think the price works out to be more like $600+shipping since folks in the US get the VAT discounted from the final price. But that is still a lot of money for an extremely simple set of manifolds. 61 Austin Seven; building a 1275 'over the clutch' turbo, R5 T2'd, custom intercooled, megajolt electrified, canyon carver

Ah - I thought Mirage sets were 350ukp + VAT? I'm guessing it's 300ukp + VAT then? On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

I'm in the same boat, I only want the manifold, (not the rest of the junk, I'm doing a GT15) and $700 plus shipping is a lot of money...

Hi Guys. In the the UK i sell them at £350 inc postage (which costs me £10). There is no vat payable to me as im not vat registered at the moment, may have to be soon. Selling abroad is £340 plus shipping at cost. Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it. You will likely see my order in early January. 61 Austin Seven; building a 1275 'over the clutch' turbo, R5 T2'd, custom intercooled, megajolt electrified, canyon carver
