Yeah, i fitted a carbon fibre one to mine. Its not an easy job...

cut the roof out leaving 3" all the way round so you can bond it on

then i used fibreglass to flush the join, then used gel coat to get a smooth finish.

let me know if you need any more comprehensive help *wink*

No probs, Yeah Curley, they were spot on, i had loads of problems with the post tho, it got damaged a few times.. i went to pick it up in the end, they reduced the cost of the roof because of the problems / wait i had. :)

i cant really see this saving that much weight really. if you weight the roof you cut out and compare to the c/f roof then it will obviously be a big difference but by the time you weighed the filler and bonding agent etc then surely it can be much of a saving can it?

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Weight saving hiigh up is worth while though. However, as you will also need to fit a full cage when fitting one it saves bugger all.

The big problem for me is that a composite roof is not alowed for hillclimbing in production classes.

Dont think curley will sell you a cf roof without asking if you have a cage, not that they'll know but i see their point lol.

It obviously weighs loads less than the metal roof, the filler and bonding agent weighs FA, however i replaced mine as it was very dented / rusting etc and had an aftermarket sunroof. Also if your going to fit a full cage (adding weight to the car) then any weight you get rid off will help on the odd track day *wink*
