I have been having problems with overflow of petrol so ordered myself a Gunson Lo-Gauge and it arrived this morning.

Going to have a go at setting the regulator tonight......can anyone tell me what the fuel pressure should be when entering the carb?

If the fuel pressure is set when the engine is idlying, it should rise proportionally with boost automatically?

Thanks,

Paul.

ISTR it's 3 -4 psi above boost pressure, which it should stay at ; ie at 0 boost 4psi at 20psi boost 24psi fuel.

9 valves, 4 wheel drive, 3 cylinders, 1 turbo, which got nicked

So basically set it at idle at 3-4psi and see how it goes *smiley*

If the regulator is working correctly it will be fine. It only needs setting at idle. To check you'll need to leave it connected while driving and see if it rises with boost.

I've always found that if you set it to 3/4psi normally, it rises to around 8/9psi by the time it has got to zero (boost transition point) on the gauge as you're accelerating. It rises proportionally after that...

Mine didnt dave, or atleast didnt seem to!

maybe its because the FPR is reading boost levels at the plenum and not at the manifold like the boost gauge?
