Opinon is devided as to the importance of equal length primaries on a road engine so a simple log type could be used. Before I get shot down VW, along with several other manufactures, use log type manifolds with the turbo at one end for packaging. Now don't get me wrong, if you want the best performance you will do all you can to keep things equal and the exhaust pulses even. It all depends on what your looking for, big numbers or a gutsy daily driver.
