thought i would show this as its a bigining to my mates turbo build!

i won this on ebay for him last night and hes going to get it today at some point, what do you think?

i thought it was a bargin if the discription is true.
considering i was going to bid on a, turbo carb, plenum, manifold, t3, actuator as a job lot for him, and it went for 200 odd quid!! put him off a bit then i found this which is about 15mins drive down the road!!

Looks good for that money. Even if it's a shed the engine and bits are worth it.

Stripping it will invoke the wroth of the Metro preservation society though!

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

i told him that lol he says he might drive it with in the metro for a while and give his intergrali a break!
its a shame i havent got the workshop built yet as this would be perfect for me for spares etc!

hes decided to keep it in the metro, as the body is sound.
what do you think is quicker, standerd turbo metro in a metro or same engine but in a mini?
i would think mini as its lighter but iv heard soem people say metro as there more arodynamic (SP?)

i supose, the metty is better top end but the mini would be better acceleration?
or the other way round?
he said the only thing thats wrong about the boddy is the paint work has loads of scratches but hes a car sprayer so that should be no proplem for him!

Mini era turbos performance is superior to the Metro Turbo from whence comes its engine. At just under 9 secs for the 0-60 dash, a second is knocked off the Metro's time while nearly 3 seconds is taken from the 50-70 times in third gear (5.2 rather than 7.9) and the Metro, while not the fastest of today's mini hot hatches, is no slouch
