you might find a std head on a 998 will give a very high compression ratio which will limit the boost you can run

He said MG metro head Jo.

Pistons are still up for debate with 998s. I've rum P20773s up to 20psi and they have survived. However, my new engine has destroyed 2 sets.

I would still say that these pistons are ok as long as you have a reasonably efficient compressor and good low CR. Also bin the circlips and rerplace them with PTFE buttons.

The later slipper pistons in my experiance are not so good. But saying that I plan to build a couple of 998 turbos using them, but limit boost to 10psi.

My current engine build is going to use the Minispares Mega pistions, and I will report back on their longevity.
