MiniSpares are getting worse!!!

For some time now i've been keeping an eye on this http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=34332 a four bolt main cap. Now its been 'temporaraly' out of stock for some time. Upon looking last night it appeared that they were now back in stock, as there was none of the big red lettering across the top explaining the 'temporaraly' out of stock situation, and i could finaly add it to my shopping basket.

Gets home from work and collected my email to find one explaining that these are out of stock!!

WTF!!!!!!!!!

Taking the piss surely?

I know I can get these else where, thats what im gonna do, it was just that i was ordering other stuff and it was 'simple'

Its in stock still... give them a call about the order, when you get through ask them about it. Maybe a mistake.

i'm hoping that the oil pump on their site isn't out of stock, i've got to order one tomorrow amongst other things...i'll be phoning minispares north though and hoping they're as good as everyone says. Normally use minispares in oldbury if its something min-its don't do.

one of the minimags had a project 8 port and iirc that used 3 steel caps and was built by a very well know engine builder ... not that i can remember his name

And a £350 ish price tag just for the caps and line bore to match

youll get the exact same hting if you try and order a turbo fuel reg from them....the red OUT OF STOCK has gone but theyve still got none....

they sure have this one, I just got one. I am going to line bore my block, but think its enought with the one in the middle, I think the two other ones are good enough, its the middle one that has the difficult job.

Well apparently they do have them.

Just seems wierd that the internet order guy syas the dont. Unless its an automatic system firing me an email when the computer thinks they dont have one, but then why doesnt the internet order guy check it?

i also met some troubles ordering ms thru the net, sometimes the parts took 3 full weeks to ........... leave minispares
then last year we have used fax order, 5 days delivery!

Well I have to say that The Mini Forum has had its use.

Simon at MiniSpares has sorted it and i should receive everything that i ordered on sunday, tomorrow.

So thumbs up for MiniSpares, for sorting their shit out!

I have to admit, i've had problems with minispares, but phoning up helps a lot. I dont think their internet guy is too hot on getting information out.

On the hole, i think they do a pretty good job concidering the number of completely custom components they now have to get made and the number of other distributors who use their products. Fair it could be slightly better run, but i have few complaints.

Sorry not aimed specifically at you colin, just a general coment about how folk take things for granted - you dont get many other companies making stuff on this scale and breadth, infact i think the only other comparison is the VW scene which is on another scale again.
