not sure about using the wd40 on the tyres, i do how ever now put it on the alloy rims over winter, this seems to help. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I dont see how adding a lubricant onto your tyres can be a good idea.. |

I race R/c cars and we use diesel on slicks and boy does it make them stick. |

I thought the 40 came from the fact it was the 40th formulation they tried. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

Not sure about any facts on wd40 and rubber other than it makes it slippy!

i think the point is that it forms a barrier over the tyre,i use it in the same fashion with engine components (applying every 2 weeks) when im doing engine builds. I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

The paint protection films work really well. I run an auto detailing (auto valeting to uk folks?) business here in CA and I have this product installed on most of my high end customer cars. It's quite effective in keeping road debris from chipping the paint.

wd40 does stand for water dispersant 40th attempt.
