I just bloody fixed all them then you must have edited it back to not working again.

Get the picture you want on screen. Right click then choose properties, then copy and paste the URL in the properties box. Add the IMG's either side, also as Nic says NO SPACES.

Hey finaally, I just copied the txt for the one that was working and changed the photo number. Lol

Anyway, this is how far ive got, undecided on where the expansion tank should be placed, you can kind of make it out in the drivers side wing but i thinks its a bit too low?

looking good
ive put the wiper motor inside the cabin and gonna place the header tank there, might not be the best idea on a road car though, from a noise point of view...

I like the front mounted rad, is that a hard conversion? What sort of rad hoses did you use? Mine is a clone of yours, I am using the same IC but was going to turn the end of it 90 degrees up to clear the side rad. Maybe might go front rad instead.

Matty, what rad is that??? Been a long time since I have paid attention to the Metro rad so not sure if that is one or not .... fits nicely though!

Actually on second glance I am sure that isn't a MG Metro rad .....

I'm thinking about rads at the minute ... also what fan are you running.

That is a very nice install.

The rad is a Fiat chequecento (spelling?)
seems to fit nicely!

The conversion isn't that hard you just need to make a crossmember to support everything really, mines just bolted through the inner wings.

The hardset part was finding hoses to fit!

You need three of these from a rover 100 's (petrol as deisel are different). And one other hose also from a rover 100 (petrol)all got 32mm ID.

This is the hose that fits between the water pump and bottom rad. Its also got the heater matrix take-off.

This one fits between the thermostat outlet to the top rad.

It should work for most front mount rad with similar positioned outlets, 32mm seem to be a fairly common size aswell.

that must have taken ages to find the right hoses. Really interested to see how much this improves cooling. Are you still going to run the same thermostat?

Ive got two different thermostat, im using the lower temp one first to see how it goes.

It should be quite a bit better just because of the water holding capacity.

Not sure where to put the expansion tank yet though? It fits in the inner wing, but it would then be lower than the top hose coming from the thermostat and Im not sure whether this will cause airlocks?

It might cause airlocks, but more importantly, it will make it a bastard to fill up. How is it done on the MPis?

Good point about the MPI's didn't think about them. Lol

I was going to fit the expansion half in the wing with the cap in the engine bay so i can fill it up, basically where my IC used to be. *wink*

Matty you'll find a Metro expansion tank fits just nicely above the wiper motor area.

Ah nice one Tom, I might have to resort to fitting one there if my plan won't work!

I was thinking of Teeing off the heater return, run that to the top of the expansion tank, and then run a hose between the expansion tank and the rad so it works like a swirl pot!

Apparently this method will constantly purge any airlocks out of the system?

Any ideas??

Easiest way is to copy the metro setup, this takes a 5/8" bore pipe from the bottom of the expansion tank into the hose from the bottom of the rad to the water pump.

Then it has a small bore hose from the top of the thermostat housing to the top of the expansion tank. All easy to sort using metro bits.

The hose that you show above from the water pump to radiator with the take off; you shouldn't use this for the heater as it will pass hot water into the cold side of the system. Better off to use the metro style sandwich thermostat housings, with the lower part that has the heater take off below the thermostat.

Ah right, has the metro expansion only got one hose fitting going to it?

Im only asking as my rad has a bleed or overflow at the top and the fiat expansion tank has two hoses going to it?

I guess i may be able to get away with blocking it but i would of thought it was there for a reason?
