Running XP

I want to lose the 'welcome' tune and the logging off tune.

Have searched, but obviously in the wrong place.

Start--> settings-->Control panel

click on "sounds and multimedia"

look for "start windows" and turn it odff there.

Rats.. Thats W2000 ....wait a minute I'll have to reboot to check XP!!

control panel-sounds and audio devices then sounds. theres some stuff in there but i dont know what it does lol

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Just about the same, but in control panel its called "sounds and audio devices" and there are some tabs, click on "sounds"

you can delete them or change them

One of my computers has Wendoline asking "Tell me about windows" and Wallis says:"Its only temporary you know, I'm an inventor really"

for errors Wallace says "His bungie's lost its bounce"

for e-mails Wallace says "Any post was there, perchance?"

just reminded me of when we first got pc's at school with 95 on, we used to find the files for the startup/shutdown picture and logo and change them to porno
