Hi everyone,
My name is Dave, I live near Doncaster in Yorkshire.
I am building a hillclimb Clubman and although I have all the bits for a 1380 N/A motor I can't help but fancy a Turbo 998. When I prepared the shell I built in a Turbo box just in case.
It's good to see plenty of you are local to me as well.
I have done a bit of Hillclimb/sprinting in the mid 90's with a mini, in fact I ran in the same class as fast carl, before he started driving in straight lines.
I will stick on a few pics of my car a little later.
Have read all the old posts so hopefully I won't ask any daft questions.

Carl it's Dave Milner, We used to compete at Harewood I had a Blue/ White roof mini and you were using a clubman. Your mate Paul Nutter (Great name) was in a MK2 escort in the class above.
You mentioned about a certain young lady you were involved with who used to live at the end of the lane I lived on but I suppose I should not mention that on here!
I always admired your go get it approach, enroling at night school to use their kit to wedge your crank.
See you have gone on to bigger and better things in the intervening years. Good on yer
